The photo above is that of a Koi (Japanese carp). This one is a Goromo - one of the many different varieties of Koi . One of my first and certainly not my last.

Living Jewels - The Beginner's Collection
Before I talk about the construction of my first pond, here is a picture of my beginner's Koi collection - Kohaku, Showa, Sanke, Shiro, Ogon and of course the Chagoi. This site will also covers the joy and occassional heart-aches of Koi keeping.
